Wake up, Rosenblum Hall. Wake up.

Thursday morning dawns cold and quiet. The first thing to notice is that the storm has abated. The clouds in the sky still roil grey and twisting, but the new year is greeted with a much wider space. The dorms are still in the vortex, but the rest of campus is open to you.

When you exit your rooms, an envelope has been taped to your doors. It contains keys and a map to the basement entrance.

The speakers crackle on, but a long pause languishes in the air before the Interim Headmistress speaks.

"All right, here we go. You can now get to The Witch House, the Admin Building, and... apparently, the basement and attic of Rosenblum Hall? Cool, thanks, Isabella. Guess I deserve that."

A sigh.

"You might need a little bit of the evidence you already have. I'd suggest putting it out on a table or something. But other than that... when you're done, don't worry. We'll come get you for the next part."

[ Isabella is gone, as far as you can tell, but other than that, it's time to explore! Feel free to investigate around the new areas as much as you like, though I'll be directing you a little bit towards the important stuff in some of them. ]

PRE-INVESTIGATION CHATTER

I don't get the feeling L would make it that easy even if we wanted to.

[We are hydrated, refreshed and surprisingly not hungover after last night! Hawke's busy stuffing things into a backpack- water, granola bars, rope...arrows...? Varric and Chu-chu stand by patiently as a good rat and his mighty steed.]

[Satsuki has her backpack with her anatomical dummy head and first aid kit. Plus a dagger in each hand she totally didn’t steal from Kohaku’s stuff.]

We wouldn’t want to risk it anyway.

I have one but I put the bullet away and forgot where I hid it. [Hawke does, however, hold up a real ass sword with a few fencing sabers and daggers laid out with her other things.]

[Violent though she is, Mariko has been skittish about the revolver. Call it a culture shock.

ATTIC + BASEMENT (Team One)

[ Isabella got you the in on these places, time to shine! You can access the Basement outside and the Attic through the study. ]

[This team make-up feels targeted but she has shit to do! And that shit is going to the basement to finally see where that little accident took place. Anything to immediately be worried about down here?]

[ Well, there's a healthy amount of evidence of past fire damage down here, but... mostly on the walls, and a lot of it seems to have been either restored over the years by the administration, considering you're standing in what appears to be a normal, empty storeroom. Guess this is going to be an easy investigation! ]

[ As reluctant as her "reasonable (relatively) character in a horror movie" ass is to go off alone, she's going to the study to check out the attic! ]

[ Ooh! Welcome to the attic, Thomasin!

The most notable thing here is what takes up most of the space - several boxes of the bullshit garbage that comes out of the regain hole. ]

[SORRY I'M LATE, Dagr has totally been here this whole time though, and now we're here in the basement! Point me in a direction and I'll get to investigating in a sec, let's do this thing.]

[ ALL GOOD, welcome to the basement! Mariko already got the door open, so the next step is to look around.

Maybe the books or the bed? ]

THE ADMINISTRATION BUILDING (Team Two)

[ Front door's unlocked! Go ruin the Headmistress's house, girls. ]

[Of course where Hawke goes, Satsuki is dragged along and Mei is there, too. But she’s going to open the door first to try to make sure Hawke doesn’t blow it up or something.]

[ So! Good news, the door doesn't explode.

There are basically two options in here - the stairs that would lead you to the room the light has been on in this whole time, or the hallway where there appear to be... some weird colors and shapes going on down there.

If I were to make a suggestion, I'd send two of this team up to the office and one down the hallway, but I'm not your dad. ]

THE WITCH'S HOUSE (Team Three)

[ Ready to go out into the woods, kids? The door is locked but several windows are broken so like is it really? ]

[Yeah, they could probably get in through the window. Alternately, the potentially cooler option: send Uncle in through a window to retrieve any keys he finds in there.]

[ Retrieval bird is FAR too cool to pass up. Yes, you can send in Uncle, and he'll return in a minute or two with a key. Good bird! ]
