and we all wanna party when the funeral ends
[Holy hell, what a week this day has been.
In the immediate aftermath of the trial, Hawke disappears into her room. It takes a while, maybe an hour and a half, before she emerges again. She's changed out of her trial clothes into something a few people might find familiar: dark make-up (slightly runny), a faded red tank top cut from a t-shirt, shredded jeans and heavy black boots. In short, her Secret Midnight Band clothes. Her first stop is to look for Anthy and, after securing her help, folded notes handwritten in purple ink are slid under dorm doors and posted in the main areas:]
Dinner in the Dining Hall. Memorial in the Conservatory.
[The dinner in question is a layout of leftovers and various ready-to-go snacks with plates and utensils ready to go. It's not exactly a full funeral spread but you work with what you've got in the time you've got. From the conservatory music plays. The only instruments are Anthy's guitar and Hawke's voice which, while not the best, carries clearly in the acoustics of the room.
It's not much of a memorial but it's better than being alone.]

... Thank you both.
[ she steps into position flanking hawke on the opposite side. these aren't songs she's incredibly familiar with, but she's listened to most of them a few times thanks to sayo. kanon too, she supposes, even if she hadn't had much time to know them at all by comparison. in any case, she'll be doing the lifting for rhythm, she guesses...? ]
I might have to improvise, a bit... I'll watch you for the changes, Himemiya-san.

... Thanks. This is usually your part, isn't it? [ even having known sayo longer than anyone else here, she can't help feeling as if she's intruding. kanon had wanted her help with their plan, but... ultimately, the band was something she had no part in. something she feels as if she shouldn't touch. ]
We can go back and forth, if you want. [ admittedly, doloris's 7-string may not be what tiera's used to. ]

[Anthy doesn't offer her opinion often, and it feels weird as hell. But, you know. She's doing a lot of things today that are new, and this is at least theoretically positive. That's a point in its favor.]
Even if parts overlap, and it's not perfect.
