Rest now, Rosenblum Hall. Rest.

When you come to, and the truth is revealed, you are all in Rosenblum Hall as the ambulance arrives. Alive, and with the knowledge of what happened, but also the knowledge of the truth you replaced it with. By killing the mystery, you have saved your friends. And Olivia.

It's still chilly outside, but as you are brought out (while the gas leak is fixed and the food in the kitchen removed), the cold air makes it clear: you're free. This is your golden end.

The rest of your winter break is open to you now. The weather is clean and clear, Isabella will happily let you in anywhere on campus you want to go (and may even take you to town on a Wal-Mart run if you ask nicely once the roads are open), and the future?

The future is yours to shape. Make it a good one. Just remember:

Rosenblum Hall is here for you. Rosenblum Hall will always be here for you.

[ Restored to her normal shape, Elsa claps her hands. ]

If I may... I feel that we should all be present for this conversation. Would you not agree, Olivia?

[ Olivia snorts. ]

What am I supposed to do, El, stop you?

That's right, you cannot!

[ There's a rush as the candles, rather than extinguishing, flare up, and suddenly... you can see the dead. They're ghosts, of course, so there's some translucence, but you can see and hear them all. No more hauntings. ]

All right, get your reunions or whatever in, then we have to talk about making this work.

Wake up, Rosenblum Hall. Wake up.

You have everything you need now. The last two months, and yet somehow just a week and a half, have all led you to this moment. You have seen the tragedy and desperation at the heart of what has happened at Rosenblum Hall, and what is currently happening at Rosenblum Hall.

What is left, of course, is to determine what happens next at Rosenblum Hall.

True to the Headmistress's word, you are each and every one of you found and taken back to the trial room. The Witch transporting you is a curious feeling, as if the whole world turns upside-down around you, and yet you end right side up.

Each of you stands at your podium, along with whatever evidence you've collected. The whole menagerie of animals, thankfully, remains together to take over the Headmistress's Office. Which probably feels like the least of what she's earned.

The 22nd desk is uncovered, but so far empty. The time has come to fix that.

"Time to put your evidence together. This is my trial, so... you know. Do your worst and all that. Once you have an idea how it all fits together, we can talk face to face."

Wake up, Rosenblum Hall. Wake up.

Thursday morning dawns cold and quiet. The first thing to notice is that the storm has abated. The clouds in the sky still roil grey and twisting, but the new year is greeted with a much wider space. The dorms are still in the vortex, but the rest of campus is open to you.

When you exit your rooms, an envelope has been taped to your doors. It contains keys and a map to the basement entrance.

The speakers crackle on, but a long pause languishes in the air before the Interim Headmistress speaks.

"All right, here we go. You can now get to The Witch House, the Admin Building, and... apparently, the basement and attic of Rosenblum Hall? Cool, thanks, Isabella. Guess I deserve that."

A sigh.

"You might need a little bit of the evidence you already have. I'd suggest putting it out on a table or something. But other than that... when you're done, don't worry. We'll come get you for the next part."

[ Isabella is gone, as far as you can tell, but other than that, it's time to explore! Feel free to investigate around the new areas as much as you like, though I'll be directing you a little bit towards the important stuff in some of them. ]

Wake up, Rosenblum Hall. Wake up.

There are many ways to tell that things are coming to an end. The same feeling of familiarity, of rote repetition, that has plagued you for weeks now is fading. Whatever happens, however it shakes out, the end is near.

Eight of you remain in the Hall, but you know that the rest of your company is waiting for you. To support you, and to help you make it to the finish line. There are twisted evil things to be defeated, as it were, and you may not want to be the girls for the job, but here you are.

No more new areas, nothing more to investigate for now. The storm still rages on outside, and sometimes you can hear it rattling the windows in a way it hasn't before now.

The loop is gone, but remember: Rosenblum Hall is here for you. Rosenblum Hall will always be here for you.

[ Well, that was ominous. It's hard to quantify just how she feels, so she doesn't. Thomasin is functional, compared to some, and she's teeming with the same manic energy that inspired the Monday meeting. They all know how this pattern goes by now; someone will initiate some form of gathering. This week, she decides, it will be her.

She lets people know, mostly by word of mouth, that there'll be food in the dining hall and she'll take any help they're willing to give, and then she starts cooking and simply does not stop. Hawke eventually joins her in this endeavor, and in a few hours, there's chicken noodle soup, roasted vegetables, and whatever else Lynny (or anyone else whose characters would have helped out, what am I, the feds?) says is there! There's also a peach cobbler still in the oven and bread proofing on the counter for God only knows when, and any leftovers still remaining from the picnic have been set out as well.

She doesn't give any specific start time, but Thomasin will eventually slip notes under the doors of any stragglers, and she'll be here all night. The game has been broken, the seventh bullet fired—but the eight of them are still alive. They might as well eat. ]

"Good job. Let's get you down to the trial room, shall we?"

It's your fifth time walking there. Look how few of you there are now. By the end of things today, you might end up with a third of your original count remaining. It cannot be hard to think about what the plan becomes after today. How much further can your numbers dwindle? How long before you run against a murder that you haven't the resources left to solve?

All there is to do today is hope you have the resources to solve this one. Someone among you still killed, presumably.

At least there's one more small comfort than you might be used to - Isabella has stretched her order to be nice to you all as much as she can, it seems, and brought coffee cake. A little messy, but good for you.

You take your places at the circle, and it's time to get down to it.

"Back down to one culprit max. Let's go, sports fans."

Friday slinks in and, while you don't know it, this is the last one you'll spend here. But that doesn't mean there isn't work to be done, and a game to be played. There's no telling if the ghosts are here or not, but the walls and hallways seem the same as ever while you file out of your rooms. There's a day to face out there.

After all, what could go wrong?

Wake up, Rosenblum Hall. Wake up.

Four more. Four more bodies. Four more gone.

All of you wake up Sunday with the knowledge that things are going to keep on like this, but you also know that there has to be something you can do about it. The Headmistress can bleed, and the Headmistress can lose control. One way or another, there's something in your gut that tells you that the routine will end soon enough. What else can she throw at you?

There's a second feeling that creeps in, though: the thought that you may have done this before. And if you've done this before... how are you here? Why are you here? Is it just a curse, a twisted form of fate?

One more of the tunnel gates has opened, allowing you access to your last full area. There may not be much there, but there is at least something, right?

As always, remember: Rosenblum Hall is here for you. Rosenblum Hall will always be here for you.

[As much as Alena is Tired, it's pretty easy to see that everyone else is having an even rougher time. She can tough it out. It's fine. And Kohaku taught her how to make acceptable blini, so she might as well do this to honor her memory in some sort of way. At least, that's what Alena thinks.

...were those people really going to be killed if no one acted? Or is it all nonsense designed to get them to act?

...

Well, anyhow. She'll be sliding notes for people to come to the dining hall, where there is a truly massive stack of reasonably well made blini set out alongside a variety of spreads and fillings to roll up inside them. Eat your feelings, everyone...]

"I think you've found everything you're going to find. Go back and regroup with Isabella."

Isabella awaits you all in the Conservatory, a room all the emptier for the missing flowers. But there's a trip down into the catacombs to be taken, and Isabella leads the way. The trial room is where it's always been, and it's not a long walk.

Half of the desks are now draped in mournful colors, though the pool in the center is just as bright as ever. Firelight flickers through the chamber, casting wayward shadows upon the walls.

The evidence has been found. The stage is set.

"Two of you are dead. The same rules apply as last week. Good luck."

This week, there's nothing like the previous to indicate that there's a body or not. The heat has been on, your thoughts have been in your head, and so on...

But there's still a feeling in the pit of your gut. It nags at you. It taunts you. Something is wrong. The same thing that is wrong every Friday this month.

Time to go check the damage.

Wake up, Rosenblum Hall. Wake up.

The number of dead continues to grow.

The game is still on, and just as last week, that seems to mean that all of you have to stick together now more than ever. The Headmistress is sure to continue her efforts to the contrary, after all.

Yet another one of the gates in the tunnels has opened, allowing you access to quite a lot of open space this time. The field has even somehow been cleared of snow.

But even with these new buildings, remember: Rosenblum Hall is here for you. Rosenblum Hall will always be here for you.

Satsuki isn't very eager to do much of anything after the trial... but she's as unyielding as ever. Someone needs to bring them together. To make sure everyone's okay. Why not her?

It's a simple notice to come to the conservatory after dinner for snacks and supplies. Some basic snacks are on tables. She's not sure what to do so she just mimics the other ones before her. She even makes some basic healthy sandwiches and leaves them out next to the snacks. What makes it a Satsuki afterparty is that on a separate table is an anatomy textbook and a small first aid kit she's snagged from the biology room.

A small note on the table reads:

Take one of each. No more than one. It'll help with the basics.

"Good hustle, everyone, time to get you down to the trial room. I'm willing to bet this is one where you want to know who did it. Head to the conservatory."

Isabella is waiting for you all there, candelabra in hand. She doesn't have much to say, but... perhaps that's to be expected. What is there to say?

It feels like a longer walk than usual to the trial room, but maybe that's just a function of your dwindling number. Much more of this and you're liable to dip below half of your original number. But you must press on, because answers will await you before long. They have to... right?

Yet more desks draped over to show those you've lost. But there's a job that you must do. You have the evidence. You are prepared against whatever it is that comes next.

... Right?

If you forgot something, would you even remember it after it was gone? You would need a reason. And for your memories of loved ones, when you awake, that may well be a reason.

Whatever it may be, though, your memory seems to be in order. As far as you can remember, there's nothing you've forgotten, and either way, the morning is here. There comes a time when you have to leave your bed and face the day, you know?

Let's see what today brings. Maybe it will be nice!

Wake up, Rosenblum Hall. Wake up.

Five dead now, and the plot continues to thicken.

The game is still on, and just as last week, that seems to mean that all of you have more work to do. There are so many pieces to this puzzle, now, and fitting them together could prove a truly herculean task. Are you up for it?

There's no ceremony to it, but one of the gates in the tunnels has opened, allowing you access to three new buildings. Despite all the time you've likely spent in them, they might be a relief in the little bit of normalcy they provide. The air around them is still, same as the quad, and indeed you could even walk to these buildings from the quad if you didn't want to spend the time in the tunnels.

But no matter what, remember: Rosenblum Hall is here for you. Rosenblum Hall will always be here for you.

Usagi isn't okay. She's upset and she's sad and she really just wants to go home, but that's clearly not happening. So, she'll just put one foot in front of the other. She's reminded of how, even when she's at her lowest, her friends are there for her. That's enough, for now.

Eventually she'll make her way to the kitchen - while she's not a great cook, even she can't mess up cutting up fruit and making sandwiches. She'll eventually make her way to the dining hall, carefully setting things out. She'll also manage to make her way into the conservatory, leaving a blank notebook and a few pens out.

You'll get a knock at your door at some point, or a note slid under your door, letting you know that she's got things set up. Hawke will, specifically, get a note asking her to please bring our Emotional Support Doggo. The notes are all signed with an actual rabbit doodle instead of her name, because cute bunnies make things better, right?

The notes read: Hey, I made some snacks and they are all set up in the dining hall. Also, there's a notebook in the conservatory - if we want to write down memories of people we're missing or something like that. I'm not great with this kind of thing, so if someone wants to do a more elaborate memorial, they're welcome.

"And that's time! Everyone, please meet Isabella back in the conservatory to head down to the trial room."

You probably hoped you wouldn't have to go back. At least not this soon, not for this motive. But there's nowhere else to go but down, is there?

Isabella is silent as she leads you back into the tunnels. If you listen closely, you might even hear the gates changing positions as you head in. The lights that have been on all week have gone dark, so once again the only light comes from Isabella's torch as you move.

The trial room is just as you left it, mostly - apart from the circle of writing desks, three more of which have now been covered.

You're armed with the evidence, now all that's left is to wield it against whichever of you did this.
